About Us
Our Story
Mum & Bub Pantry started the same way most good ideas do — out of necessity.
The idea didn't come from a boardroom. It came from a Tuesday evening, standing in the kitchen with a newborn strapped to my chest, a toddler pulling at my leg, and that sinking 5pm realisation that nothing was defrosted, the fridge was half-empty, and I was supposed to somehow produce a meal for everyone — including myself, who hadn't eaten a proper lunch since the baby arrived.
I know that feeling. If you're a mum, you know that feeling.
It's not just about cooking. It's the mental load of it. The invisible work that starts the moment you wake up. What's for breakfast? What do we have? What needs to defrost? Will the kids actually eat it? Did I remember to buy that thing? It's a never-ending loop that runs quietly in the background of everything you do — and nobody talks about how exhausting it is.
So I did what any chef-trained, sleep-deprived, deeply determined mother would do. I got back into the kitchen — not to cook for my family that night, but to start building something bigger.
I started making meals. Proper ones. The kind that freeze beautifully, reheat in minutes and actually taste like someone who loves you made them. Meals that could sit in a freezer and be a quiet act of care on a hard day. Meals that removed at least one decision from the endless list.
That's how Mum & Bub Pantry was born.
What we believe
We believe that the mental load of feeding a family is real — and it's largely invisible to everyone who isn't carrying it.
We believe that convenience and quality don't have to be opposites. That a meal can be easy to heat and still be made with the kind of care that matters.
We believe that new mums deserve to eat well. Not just quick bites standing over the sink at 2pm. Actual meals. Warm, nourishing, made-with-love meals — even if they didn't have the energy to make them themselves.
We believe that a full freezer is one of the greatest gifts you can give a new parent. Not flowers that wilt. Not another tiny onesie. Food. Real food, ready when the hard days hit.
And we believe that food is an act of care. Not just fuel. Every meal we make is an extension of that belief.
What makes us different
We're not a meal kit company that makes you cook. We're not a diet delivery service. We're not a baby food brand. And we're not a gourmet restaurant that charges $45 a serve.
We're a small Australian kitchen making real food for real families — the kind of meals that feel like someone who loves you made them. Properly seasoned. Generously portioned. Prepared with the same care we'd want for our own kids.
We rotate our menu regularly so there's always something new. We use real ingredients — not premade bases, not powder sachets. And we put our nutritional information online instead of cramming it onto a tiny label, because we'd rather our labels tell you the things that actually matter: how to store it, how to heat it, and that it was made in Sydney with love.
